As a condition in our Covid Management Plan, without which the event cannot proceed, all patrons, staff, exhibitors, artists and contractors (ie everyone on site) over the age of 12 must be fully vaccinated. Patrons with valid medical exemptions may be admitted.
We have a duty of care to provide a safe environment for everyone involved in the festival and undertake to do all that is necessary to restrict the spread of COVID-19 and protect the vulnerable in our community. After such a hugely disruptive and restrictive period for artists and the arts industry, our COVID-Safe management measures are made, in the midst of one of the deadliest pandemics in history, in genuine good faith and concern for the broadest possible portion of our society. They are made not only in order to be permitted to conduct large-scale, general admission festivals during a pandemic, but also as a considered response to a public health requirement in these extraordinary time based on the best possible advice from the scientists and health professionals best qualified to advise on such matters of public health.
Note this does not mean all Beer & BBQ Festival and HomeBrewed events will continue to be "Vax-only" forever. We are not yet able to make a decision about the winter, Beer & BBQ Festival, until closer to the time.
